New clarification added: Dear Bidders, Please note the questions raised below and our official responses in connection with the subject request for quotation ref. RFQ/2026/ 63216Question One (01): Kindly advise on the requirements for submitting the CSC plate and container number with this quotation to meet the evaluation criteria. Specifically, does this mean that the container details provided must exactly match those of the units delivered should we be awarded the contract?Our main concern relates to the bid evaluation period. We would like to understand how we are expected to hold containers in stock while awaiting the evaluation outcome, particularly since we cannot be certain of being awarded the contract.For clarity, we submit this quotation to UNOPS today with specified container details, and tomorrow we may have another client interested in an upfront purchase of the same containers while the bid evaluation is still in progress with UNOPS.Would it be acceptable for us to note that the container number and specific unit shown in our quotation are for illustrative purposes only? The actual unit delivered may vary depending on current availability, but it will meet all specified requirements.Rest assured, each actual container unit will be accompanied by third-party test reports for your review and approval prior to delivery. We look forward to your clarification.Answer One (01): Dear Vendors, The Mandatory Criteria under the Criteria tab states:“The bidder shall submit a Manufacturer’s Certificate of Conformity issued by the container manufacturer confirming the Convention for Safe Containers (CSC) approval status, manufacture date, and compliance with the International Convention for Safe Containers, 1972, including applicable amendments. A clear photograph of the Convention for Safe Containers (CSC) plate shall be required only from the successful bidder after issuance of the Purchase Order.”For clarity, at the quotation stage, bidders are required to provide documentation from the manufacturer confirming that the offered container type/model is CSC-approved and complies with the International Convention for Safe Containers, 1972, including applicable amendments.Bidders are not required to reserve specific container units or submit CSC plate photographs at the quotation stage. The clear photograph of the CSC plate, container number, manufacture date, and any applicable test or inspection reports will be required only from the successful bidder after issuance of the Purchase Order and before delivery/acceptance.This shall form part of the official solicitation documents. RFQ/2026/ 63216Question One (01): We are Himilo Freight and Logistics Company Ltd based in Mogadishu, Somalia.We are willing to submit an offer for the subject RFQ, however the time given is not enough to prepare and submit the bid documents that complies your ToR, therefore, we request extension of deadline 2 more weeks.Answer One (01): The programme is currently working under very tight deadlines. While your request is under review, we regret to inform you that we cannot extend the submission deadline by an entire two weeks. This shall form part of the official solicitation documents. Please be guided accordingly.Thank you.
