The United Nations Office for Project Services (hereinafter referred to as UNOPS) is pleased to invite prospective bidders to submit bid for the the Supply ,Installation, Commissioning and Training of 600Mtr & 350Mtr Water well drilling rig with tools ,accessories and spareparts for Ministry of Irrigation and Lowlands/ MILS- Ethiopia, in accordance with the UNOPS General Conditions of Contract and the Schedule of Requirements as set out in this Invitation to Bid (ITB).

Could you please clarify the exact delivery location required under this tender?Duration of the trainingThe documentation indicates a training duration of 20 days, to be implemented in Ethiopia across the following four regions:AfarDire Dawa AdministrationSomaliOromiaIn this regard, we would appreciate clarification on whether the 20 days should be understood as:a total of 20 days for all four locations combined, or20 days per each individual region.We would be grateful for your clarification in order to properly prepare our technical and financial proposal. New clarification added: Clarification Questions, Dear Sirs, On 600 m rig you ask for chains safety factor 5:1 and for 350 m rig 4.5:1 Please note that international and European standards require 3.5:1 We make our machines with 3.5:1, it is possible to make more 4 or 5:1 but we need to make a special design for this machine, which is possible but very expensive. Please let us know if the international standard safety factor 3.5:1 is acceptable.Thank you for your understanding and support. Dear Bidder, The requirements stated in section II- Schedule of Requirements are as per the requirement and Interest of our partners.Therefore Bidders are strictly required to develop their tender proposal as per the stated requirement.
