Dear Bidder, The International Labour Office (ILO) is looking for an individual to undertake work as an External Collaborator. Below is a summary of the work to be performed: The External Collaborator will support the drafting of a new Occupational Safety and Health Law and Policy in Macedonia under the EU-funded project “Towards a Safe and Healthy Working Environment in North Macedonia”. The assignment contributes to Outcome 1 of the project, which supports the establishment of a national OSH framework conducive to safe and healthy working environments and the preparation of draft laws and regulations aligned with International Labour Standards and the EU OSH acquis. The ExColl will lead the national legal drafting process, ensure full consistency with Macedonian legal technique and institutional competences, and coordinate the preparation of the Macedonian working version of the draft Law. The work will be carried out in close coordination with the International OSH Expert engaged under a separate External Collaboration Contract, the ILO National Project Coordinator, the ILO LI/OSH Specialist, the Ministry responsible for labour, the State Labour Inspectorate and tripartite constituents. The assignment includes legal and technical review, preparation of a legislative drafting structure, development/review of draft legal provisions, preparation of concordance tables against ILO Conventions and EU OSH acquis, support to tripartite consultations and preparation of a final legislative package suitable for further governmental and parliamentary procedures.
