Climate Resilient Water, Sanitation and Hygiene (WASH) package development for school children (1-4 and 5-11 std) and training of selected master trainers for capacity building roll out with teachers
The purpose of this assignment is to engage an agency to develop age-appropriate Climate Resilient WASH (CR-WASH) education packages for school children in grades 1–4 and grades 5–11, aligned with the national WASH in Schools (WinS) framework and the findings of the CR-WASH baseline assessment. The packages will promote positive hygiene behaviours, climate resilience awareness, menstrual hygiene management (MHM), safe water use, sanitation, handwashing, waste management, and environmental sustainability through child-friendly and participatory learning approaches.
The assignment will also include the development of teacher training manuals and facilitation guides to support effective delivery of the CR-WASH packages in schools. In addition, the agency will conduct Training of Trainers (ToT) sessions for selected CR-WASH Master Trainers to strengthen their technical and facilitation capacities. These Master Trainers will subsequently train school teachers and school administration staff, who will then deliver structured classroom sessions and practical activities to children in their schools.
Overall, the assignment aims to establish a sustainable and scalable CR-WASH education and capacity-building model that strengthens climate-resilient WASH knowledge, practices, and behaviour change among children, teachers, schools, and communities in Uzbekistan.
