Description of the assignment: UNDP is looking for a legal entity for the assignment: RFQ/2026/002 - Support the establishment of a selective yak breeding farm in Zavkhan aimag and promote its development as a local brand.

The “Improving Adaptive Capacity and Risk Management of Rural Communities in Mongolia’’ (ADAPT) project funded by the Green Climate Fund was launched in March 2021. The project is being implemented by the Ministry of Environment and Climate Change, the Ministry of Food, Agriculture and Light Industry, and the United Nations Development Programme for 7 years in Dornod, Sukhbaatar, Zavkhan, and Khovd aimags. 

The objective of this assignment is to supply high-quality breeding yak cattle and establish a core breeding herd under controlled conditions in Ikh-Uul soum of Zavkhan aimag, and contribute to improving the productivity and quality of yak herds across the province and other regions.

Duration: 8 months
