The International Fund for Agricultural Development (IFAD), a specialized agency of the United Nations based in Rome, Italy, hereby solicits proposals for the Provision of Insurance for Rural Resilience & Economic Development. The objective of this Request for Proposal (RFP) is to build a roster of service providers – by way of Long Term Agreements - for the implementation of technical activities in the area of agricultural and climate risk insurance to support the goals of the INSURED II programme. The roster is expected to identify and pre-select a list of service providers, both commercial and non-profit companies. The Terms of Reference relate to key areas of agricultural and climate risk insurance market development, with three Job Lots covering different activities within each of the three INSURED pillars. Based on the results of the tender, under this LTA, the service provider(s) may perform services for the following job lots: Assessments and Technical Assistance (Job Lot 1), Capacity Building (Job Lot 2), and Innovation Development and Testing (Job Lot 3).
