UNICEF has now issued a Request for Proposals] in order to select a supplier for the provision of Construction Services The objective of this assignment is to construct climate resilient, low carbon, environmentally sustainable and socially safeguarded school infrastructure in four target districts of Sindh Province, in full compliance with UNICEF’s Climate Friendly and Net Zero (CFN) Framework and Emergency Preparedness and Response Programme (EPRP). The works shall ensure continuity of education services during and after climate and disaster related shocks, minimize greenhouse gas emissions and environmental harm, enhance energy and water efficiency, and protect children, communities and workers from environmental and social risks. The project encompasses Construction of New Two/three/Four-Classroom School Units in Four Target Districts of Sindh Utilizing Prefabricated Structures (Light Steel Framework with Rockwool Panels), Integrated with Gender-Sensitive Toilets and Handwashing Facilities (Rainwater Harvest in Tharparkar & Some areas of Umarkot) the EDU-Sindh team is requesting initiating an open tender process through the Supply Section and in consultation with the Country Office, to identify and select a suitable vendor for the works implementation. This tender will be run through the UNICEF e-submissions system. By clicking on the blue ‘Express Interest’ button in the UNGM tender notice, the full UNICEF e-submission system instructions to bidders document (including instructions on how to access the tender documents and submit an Offer) will be automatically emailed to the ‘contact persons’ included in your UNGM registration.
