New clarification added: Dear Bidders, Please see below the clarifications provided against the request received from the interested bidder:Clarification Request:Given that the Chinese National Standard GB/T 2820 series is formally designated as the "identical adoption" (IDT) of ISO 8528, please confirm whether our equipment fully complying with GB/T 2820 can be deemed to meet the ISO 8528 requirements stipulated in the tender?Response: Thank you for your clarification question. New clarification added: Dear Bidders, Please see below the clarifications provided against the request received from the interested bidder:Clarification Request:You stated that there is no utility power source (no mains available); therefore, we understand that a manual-start genset is required. In this case, a mains-powered battery charger would normally not be applicable. However, the specifications also state that:"An integrated, constant-voltage automatic battery trickle charger (powered by the mains) shall maintain the starting batteries during standby."This requirement appears to imply the presence of a mains supply and, consequently, an automatic genset configuration equipped with a mains-powered battery charger for battery maintenance during standby. This point is currently unclear and directly affects the correct configuration of the generator set to be offered.Response:Thank you for your clarification question. Please note that the requested integration is not additional power for the battery charger, but the generator itself charges the battery while voltage is below the normal battery voltage. Best RegardsUNOPS

New clarification added: Dear Bidders, Please see below the clarifications provided against the request received from the interested bidder:Clarification Request:1. Alternator specificationCould you please confirm whether Vacuum Pressure Impregnation (VPI) is required for the alternator, or if a Black Severe Environment Protection treatment would be considered sufficient for this application?2. Battery charger / power sourceRegarding your response to the question dated 06/06/2026:"Is there a power source to tap from? If yes, is it sufficient for the diesel generator to be tapped from?"Your answer was:"There is no power source."Based on this response, we understand that no utility/grid power is available on site. However, the specification also requires a battery charger, and therefore we are not entirely clear on the intended arrangement. You stated that there is no power source available on site. However, the specification requires a battery charger. Could you please clarify how the battery charger is intended to be powered and what operating philosophy is expected for the generator set?Response: Thank you for your clarification question. Please find the response below;Vacuum pressure Impregnation (VPI) is required, which is a process used to completely seal porous materials or electrical windings with a resin, varnish, or sealant. It is superior to standard "dip-and-bake" methods because it uses a vacuum and high pressure to eliminate air pockets. There is no grid. The battery charger indicated in the requirement is not from an additional source, it is from the generator itself while the generator is working.Best RegardsUNOPS

New clarification added: Dear Bidders, Please see below the clarifications provided against the request received from the interested bidder:Clarification Request:Re: ITB/2026/62877 — Supply and Delivery of Diesel Generators, 400kVA Open TypeWe request clarification on the following two points before the deadline of 15 June 2026.Question 1: Power Rating — Prime or Standby? The Schedule of Requirements states under Engine Specification:"Power Rating: 400 kVA"It also states under Documentation & Compliance:"Power ratings (Prime and Standby) shall be defined in strict accordance with ISO 8528-1:2018."Under ISO 8528-1:2018, Prime Power (PRP) and Standby Power (ESP) are two distinct ratings. For example, a typical generator set in this range is rated:• Standby (ESP): 400 kVA / 320 kW• Prime (PRP): 350 kVA / 280 kWThese represent different products at different price points. Could UNOPS please confirm whether the 400 kVA requirement refers to Prime (PRP) or Standby (ESP) rating per ISO 8528-1:2018?Response: Thank you for your clarification question. Please note that the 400kVA refers to the Prime Power (PRP). Best RegardsUNOPS

New clarification added: Dear Bidders, Please see below the clarifications provided against the request received from the interested bidder:Clarification Request:We would like to request a clarification regarding Form C – Price Schedule Form. The form requires bidders to indicate separately the price for manufacturer standard spare parts. Could you kindly clarify the expected scope of these spare parts (e.g. reference operational hours, maintenance interval, or recommended spare parts package)? The description appears rather generic, and we could not find any indication in the technical specifications regarding the operational hours or maintenance basis to be considered for pricing purposes.Your clarification would be appreciated in order to submit a compliant and accurate quotation.Additionally, the technical specifications include a list of tool kits. Could you please clarify whether the cost of these tool kits should be included in the price of the 400 kVA Diesel Generator set, or whether it should be quoted separately under the Spare Parts price section? Response: Thank you for your clarification question. Please note that the spareparts should be the standard manufacturer recommended package and the tool kit price should be included in the Generator price.Best RegardsUNOPS

New clarification added: Dear Bidders, Please see below the clarifications provided against the request received from the interested bidder:Clarification Request:Since the generator supply includes installation, is it possible to know the basic cable size and length from the ELPA to the point where the generator is installed and from the generator to the distribution board? Or, as previously explained in the clarification, since the specific locations are unknown, can the supplier calculate the cable size based on the Total Electrical Load (Amperage) and add the price of 1 meter cable length to the offer? Or how can we manage the power Cable size and length (which is the most critical in the Price quotation )?Response: Thank you for your clarification question. Please note that power cable is not required Best RegardsUNOPS
