RFQ/JSB CP5/2605/27 - Procurement of 20 Nos. of Hybrid Solar Systems

Sri Lanka’s dairy sector faces increasing climate and economic pressures affecting rural livelihoods, food security, and agricultural productivity. Climate variability, energy price volatility, and disruptions to rural infrastructure have significantly affected smallholder dairy farmers, particularly in climate-vulnerable districts. The proposed project, “Net-Zero, Nature-Positive Dairy: Climate-Smart Dairy Value Chains through Energy Transition and Nature-Based Solutions,” aims to strengthen the resilience and productivity of the dairy value chain through the deployment of climate-smart infrastructure, renewable energy technologies, and improved cold-chain systems. The intervention will focus on Kilinochchi District in the Northern Province and Nuwara Eliya District in the Central Province, two regions characterized by distinct climatic risks including drought, floods, and landslides
