Child Protection in Emergencies Coordination and Disaster Preparedness
United Nations Children's Fund Jamaica, in partnership with the Ministry of Education, Skills, Youth and Information (MOESYI), CPFSA, and other stakeholders, has identified the need to strengthen disaster preparedness and emergency response systems for children.
Scope:
Under the leadership of the MOESYI and with the technical guidance of UNICEF and other partners, the firm will be responsible for developing guidelines, SOPs, and capacity-building resources to strengthen Jamaica’s child protection emergency preparedness and coordination. Deliverables to include capacity building and training for key stakeholders in child protection, GBV/PSEA, psychosocial support, and emergency response procedures. The consultancy will also support institutional strengthening and inter-agency coordination aligned with national and regional emergency response frameworks.
