To help us prepare our proposal accurately, could you please clarify the following points:Award Criteria: Is it possible for a bidder to be awarded only one of the two lots, or must a single bidder be awarded both lots together as a whole package?Technical Evaluation: Will the technical evaluation be conducted for each lot independently, or will the proposal be evaluated for both lots together as a single submission?UNOPS REPLY:Bidders shall be allowed to quote prices for one OR more lots identified in this tender. The evaluation will be made for each LOT separately. Bidders must offer 100% of the items specified for each lot and to 100% of the quantities specified for each item of a lot. Evaluation will be done per lot.

New clarification added: Clarification:Dear Procurement Team,While preparing to submit our proposal for this tender, we noticed that the Document Checklist section contains only 9 tabs/items available for upload. There are no slots or tabs allocated for the remaining required documents specified in the solicitation documents.Could you please resolve this technical issue so we can upload all the necessary files? Alternatively, please advise if we should merge the remaining documents into the available slots.UNOPS REPLY:Please make sure to activate your participation option for LOT 1 or LOT 2 or both, after which the additional submission fields will become visible.

New clarification added: Clarification:Dear UNOPS Procurement Team,Greetings,With reference to ITB No. ITB/2026/62788 – “Construction Contract for Small Works - Rehabilitation/Modernization of Irrigation Infrastructure Muthana Governorate, Iraq - Al Sware Canal and Al Ghadir Canal”, we have an inquiry about item No.4 in the BOQ for Lot 1&2 (Providing machinery, equipment, and all required materials for laying a 1.0 mm thick membrane layer in the canal section beneath the lining, in accordance with the specified levels, design drawings, technical specifications, and the directions of the resident engineer) We have an inquiry regarding the membrane material. Could you please clarify the type and specification of required material? Also, can it be replaced with coarse gravel (cobblestone aggregate) or boulder? You answer is very important as It is considered a governing item in the pricing.UNOPS REPLY:The material specification have been provided in the technical specifications document. It can not be replaced with coarse aggregate.Membrane Protection: Installation of high-density polyethylene (HDPE) or similar impermeable membranes between concrete and aggressive soil to prevent direct contact and reduce moisture ingress.
