Provision for Maintenance and Repair service for UPS Systems in operation at UNHQ

The Contractor is to provide maintenance and repair services for the Uninterruptible Power Supply (UPS) Systems, manufactured by Schneider Electric, at the United Nations Headquarters in New York for the duration of 3 years with 2 additional optional extention of 1 year each. The United Nations Headquarters is located at 405 East 42nd Street, New York, New York 10017. Maintenance services shall include, but not limited to, scheduled preventive maintenance; ad-hoc corrective maintenance; load bank testing; and battery maintenance and replacement. Maintenance services include UPS system modules, static switches, controls, batteries, rectifiers and all other components or auxiliary systems required for the operation of the UPS systems. The Contractor shall upgrade the software and firmware to the manufacturer's latest version. Some UPS units would require modernization. More details will be provided in the Scope of Work that will form part of the tender package. The Contractor shall be fully responsible for maintenance and repair of the UPS systems in accordance with industrial standards and practices; and applicable Local, State, Federal, Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA); and the UPS manufacturers’ user manual safety guidelines. All services and materials provided shall comply with manufacturer’s requirements/ standards and IEEE Std 445-1995, IEEE Recommended Practice for Emergency and Standby Power Systems for Industrial and Commercial Applications. All units, equipment and battery systems shall be maintained and serviced in accordance with the original manufacturers’ specific maintenance requirements and trouble shooting diagnostics guidelines. UN Procurement Division (UNPD) reserves the right to change or cancel the requirement at any time during the EOI and/or solicitation process. Thus, submitting a reply to this REOI does not automatically guarantee that your company will be considered for receipt of the solicitation when issued.
