UNDP Mongolia Country Office is looking for a national legal entity who will perform the following assignment. 

Improving Adaptive Capacity and Risk Management of Rural Communities in Mongolia (ADAPT)’’ Project

Duration: 18 months

Scope of work: The objective of the assignment is to formally verify, in accordance with applicable laws and regulations, that the Bumbat Red Goat is adapted to high‑mountain pasture ecosystems and exhibits superior cashmere yield and quality compared to other goat breeds and strains, and to develop a policy and strategic framework, grounded in modern genetic science, to guide its sustainable breeding and improvement, and to establish enabling conditions for its effective implementation. The strategy will aim to preserve the herd’s key economic, production and biological traits, including climate resilience, capacity for weight gain under pasture grazing conditions, and meat characteristics, while maintaining cashmere quality, increasing yield at appropriate levels, and strengthening the genetic pool.
