The United Nations Organization Stabilization Mission in the Democratic Republic of the Congo (MONUSCO), seeks Expression of Interest (EOI) from duly registered companies for the Installation, Inspection/Diagnostic, Maintenance, Cleaning, repair and Calibration Services Of MONUSCO Weighing Scales to MONUSCO Locations ( Kinshasa, Beni, Bunia and Goma) DR Congo and Entebbe/Uganda (RSCE) for United Nations Organization Stabilization Mission in the Democratic Republic of the Congo. MONUSCO requires the services of a Contractor to keep the weighing scales fully serviceable and accurate at all times. MONUSCO requires calibration, maintenance, and repair services, including replacement of defective parts and installation of the newly purchased weighing scales. 1. The Contractor shall hold a valid business registration license and a certificate issued by the National Weights and Measures Authority in its country of registration, certifying that the Contractor is authorized to perform installation, repair, maintenance, and calibration services for weighing scales. 2. The Contractor shall be responsible for the performance of the services by observing safety standards and by meeting the MONUSCO requirements, and for the provision of necessary personnel and materials. If the Contractor intends to use subcontractors in the provision of the services, these shall be detailed in the Contractor's technical proposal. 3. The Contractor shall provide qualified and experienced personnel necessary to accomplish the tasks under the Contract. 4. A university degree or equivalent plus a minimum of 3 years' experience in a related field. 5. A minimum High School Certificate and experience of 3 years in logistics-related operations/projects. 6. The Contractor shall provide skilled technical workers to competently perform the required tasks. 7. The weighing scales are of various types, models, and from various manufacturers. The Mission may order any type of scale from any qualified provider or manufacturer. 8. Installation Services: Initial installation of newly acquired weighing scales of any type and model in accordance with manufacturer-recommended standards, may include software/hardware installation and any other manufacturer-recommended installation procedures (including cables, connectors, monitors, and any other equipment required for the normal operation and functioning of the systems). Please note that this request for EOI is not an invitation for submission of bid. MONUSCO reserves the right in selecting the invitees for the competitive bidding based on substantial and proven records of performance in the subject field of activities. Submission of an EOI would not automatically warrant receipt of the documents; MONUSCO reserves the right to reject EOI’s received after the deadline indicated below. 9.
