Description of the Assignment: To assess how the availability and quality of manufacturing skills influence foreign direct investment (FDI) location decisions in advanced manufacturing sectors and to quantify the financial implications of workforce availability for industrial investment projects. The objective of this assignment is to develop an analytical and financial assessment of how the availability, quality and cost of workforce skills influence foreign direct investment (FDI) allocation decisions in advanced manufacturing sectors, with a particular focus on Serbia’s competitive position relative to selected benchmark countries. The assignment will examine the extent to which workforce-related factors affect the attractiveness and financial viability of investment locations through their impact on project implementation speed, training and onboarding costs, labour productivity, operational efficiency and overall return on investment.
