Provision of Banqueting, Cafeteria and Troller Services at ESCAP Premises in Bangkok, Thailand

The United Nations Economic and Social Commission for Asia and the Pacific (“ESCAP”) is seeking Expressions of Interest (EOI), from qualified companies, for the provision of catering and banqueting services, including management and operation of relevant facilities at ESCAP premises located on Rajadamnern Nok Avenue, Bangkok, Thailand (“ESCAP Premises”). Introduction: ESCAP premises comprise two office buildings—the Secretariat Building and the Service Building—and one conference centre. The United Nations Conference Centre (UNCC) is among the largest convention facilities in Asia and provides comprehensive conference services to UN agencies, funds, and programmes, as well as external clients. UNCC hosts an average of more than 3,000 meetings annually. Scope of Services: The selected contractor will be responsible for the provision of catering and banqueting services, including management and operation of relevant facilities at ESCAP premises, as outlined below: 1. Banqueting for the meeting events at the UNCC: Provision of full banqueting services for conferences, meetings, and events held at the UNCC throughout the year, which would include a variety of options of coffee breaks, lunches, and receptions. Banqueting operations are supported by a fully-functional banqueting kitchen located on the ground floor of the UNCC building, with a total area of 205 square metres. 2. Catering at the international cafeteria: Provision of breakfast and lunch services at the International Cafeteria, which is furnished with tables and seating to accommodate approximately 400 persons in one sitting and has a total area of 1,055 square metres. Catering operations are supported by a fully-functional kitchen on the 1st floor of the UNCC building, with total area of 550 square metres. 3. Trolley services: Provision of trolley services for UN employees within ESCAP premises. Contract duration: The contract shall have an initial period of three (3) years, with two (2) extension options of two (2) years each, for a maximum total duration of seven (7) years. Any extension of the contract shall be at the UN’s sole discretion and shall also be subject to budgetary appropriations, contractor’s performance.
