UNDP is providing technical support to Alternative Energy Promotion Centre (AEPC) to implement the Asian Development Bank (ADB) funded South Asia Subregional Economic Cooperation (SASEC) Power System Expansion Project Off-grid Component. SASEC is promoting 4.3 MW mini-hydropower projects (MHP) and 0.5MW Solar/Solar-Wind Hybrid Minigrids (SMG) to increase access to electricity in rural areas for improving the livelihoods of people by promoting economic activities.

One of the activities under Output 1 includes budget for MHP line extention in catchment area of Mini Hydro Projects under SASEC/ADB to extent the transmission line to the unelectrified household. This activity is planned to extent the transmission line of Chukeni Khola MHP in Jumla to extent the Transmission line and distribution line to Tami & Baragaun of Tatopani Rural municipality to electrify 350 HH. 

The main objective of the assignment is to extend the transmission and distribution line to Tamtigaun and Baragaun of Tatopani Rural Municipality, Ward 07, Jumla to electrify 350 HH.
