The International Labour Office (ILO) is looking for an individual to undertake work as an External Collaborator.
Below is a summary of the work to be performed:
The ILO is seeking an international expert to conduct a comprehensive functional and institutional assessment of the Labour Inspectorate of Serbia under the EU-funded project “Promotion of Occupational Safety and Health and Labour Inspection in Serbia” (2025–2027).
The consultant will carry out desk research, conduct a five-day field mission to Serbia (including meetings in Belgrade and selected local offices outside Belgrade), and analyse the current functioning of the Labour Inspectorate, including inspection planning, procedures, internal workflows, enforcement coordination, and training systems.
The expert will validate existing findings and recommendations and propose practical, evidence-based measures aimed at strengthening inspection effectiveness, institutional performance, and continuous professional development of labour inspectors. The assignment will result in a structured assessment report containing analytical findings and prioritized recommendations, which will be presented to the ILO and national stakeholders.
