The assignment forms part of the broader rehabilitation of the Mar Mikhael Train Station Park and shall complement ongoing interventions being implemented by UN-Habitat and restoration works undertaken by UNESCO within the same premises. External façade restoration and external building components are excluded from this requirement. The works shall include, but not be limited to: removal and dismantling of damaged internal finishes and existing services; repair of cracks and structural consolidation where required; masonry works and construction of internal partitions; upgrading of kitchens, bathrooms and other wet areas; waterproofing works; restoration and installation of wooden doors, partitions and metal elements; plastering, painting, tiling, gypsum and other internal finishing works; mechanical, electrical and plumbing works; installation of a centralized HVAC system; and supply and installation of a new elevator with all associated civil, mechanical and electrical works. The contractor shall also provide all related site establishment, storage, safety fencing, surveying, shop drawings, as-built drawings, method statements, supervision, QA/QC, testing, commissioning, handover and close-out services necessary for proper execution of the works. Interested vendors should demonstrate proven experience and technical capacity in similar works, particularly heritage building rehabilitation/restoration. Vendors should also demonstrate capacity to provide qualified key personnel, including relevant engineering and site supervision expertise, and ability to manage coordination with multiple stakeholders on an active and sensitive site. The contractor will be expected to implement robust health and safety measures, environmental and social safeguards, material quality control, proper debris segregation and disposal, and sustainable construction practices, while ensuring accessibility considerations and compliance with applicable laws and regulations. Vendors responding to this EOI may be requested, at the solicitation stage, to provide documentation supporting their legal status, tax registration, financial capacity, relevant project references, insurance capability, proposed project team and confirmation of understanding of the scope of works.      Specific Requirements/Information IMPORTANT: Please note that this REOI is not an invitation for the submission of tenders. Its purpose is to identify companies that are interested and eligible to participate in the solicitation process when issued. UNON reserves the right to change or cancel the requirement at any time during the EOI and/or solicitation process. Therefore, submitting a response to this Request for EOI does not automatically guarantee that your company will be considered for receipt of the solicitation when issued. Vendors deemed qualified upon completion of an objective evaluation of their EOI submissions will receive the final tender solicitation documents.
