The United Nations Global Service Centre (UNGSC) will soon launch a competitive solicitation process for the commercial sale and disposal of various surplus assets located at its premises in Brindisi, Italy. The commercial sale will comprise fifteen (15) lots, including, but not limited to, various Information and Communications Technology items (COMS), Electronic Data Processing (EDP) items, vehicles and container/scrap metal, as follows: • Lot 1: EDP/COMS (IT Equipment, Satellite Communication Systems) (Qty 18) • Lot 2: EDP/COMS (IT Equipment, Satellite Communication Systems, Wireless Telecommunications Equipment) (Qty 45) • Lot 3: EDP/COMS (IT Equipment, Wireless Telecommunications Equipment) (Qty 20) • Lot 4: EDP/COMS (IT Equipment, Wireless Telecommunications Equipment) (Qty 54) • Lot 5: COMS (IT Equipment, Power & Infrastructure Equipment) (Qty 5) • Lot 6: EDP (IT Equipment) (Qty 18) • Lot 7: EDP/COMS (IT Equipment, Wireless Telecommunications Equipment) (Qty 17) • Lot 8: SCRAP METAL (Shelving sold as scrap metal) (Weight 15,900) • Lot 9: SCRAP METAL (Containers, chairs , cabinets, etc. sold as scrap metal) (Weight 8,490 kg) • Lot 10: SCRAP METAL (Vehicles sold as scrap metal) - (Weight 4,145 kg) • Lot 11: SCRAP METAL (Aluminum) (Weight 2,749 kg) • Lot 12: SCRAP METAL (Electronic components sold as scrap metal) (Weight 1,747 kg) • Lot 13: SCRAP METAL (Weight 1,346 Kg) • Lot 14: EDP/COMS (IT Equipment, Satellite Communication Systems, Wireless Telecommunications Equipment) (Qty 120) • Lot 15: EDP/COMS (IT Equipment, Wireless Telecommunications Equipment)(Qty 8) Full technical specifications and administrative instructions will be provided in the solicitation document, which will be issued after the closing date of this Expression of Interest (EOI). The solicitation will also include details regarding a scheduled site visit to inspect the items at the UNGSC premises in Brindisi, Italy. Participation in the site visit is optional, and all related costs shall be borne by the bidders. Please note that all assets are offered for sale on an “as-is, where-is” basis, with no warranties or guarantees of any kind, either express or implied, including, but not limited to, warranties of quality, merchantability, or fitness for a particular purpose. All sales will be considered final. Certain items, due to their sensitive nature, will be subject to disposal by destruction in the presence of UN personnel and will therefore be sold strictly as scrap material.
