New clarification added: Bidder's Questions:1- Regarding the document checklist on the website, you requested submission of an agreement between the bidder and the local representative. Kindly advise: since we are both the authorized local agent and the bidder, are there any specific documents we still need to submit from our side? Would an authorization letter from the manufacturer appointing us as the local agent be considered sufficient? 2- Regarding the spare parts list, kindly advise on the required duration for maintaining fixed prices for the spare parts. Also, please confirm whether this period begins after the completion of the two-year free warranty. 3- Regarding the financial proposal, you requested that prices be submitted based on three Incoterms (DAP, FCA, and CPT). Kindly clarify what responsibilities should be included in our pricing as the seller under each Incoterm, and what responsibilities fall under the buyer. Additionally, please specify the final destination applicable for each Incoterm. 4- Regarding the pre-installation scope, kindly advise on the following: - Could you please provide CAD drawings to help us determine the required dimensions?- Kindly clarify who will be responsible for the cable extension from the isolators to the machines.- Please confirm whether circuit breakers are available along with the isolators.- Kindly advise if a central steam supply line is available for the steam sterilizer. Please clarify whether the requested preheating tank for the washer is built-in or externalUNOPS Answers:1-In cases where the bidder and the local agent are the same entity, the Manufacturer’s Authorization Form appointing your company as the authorized local representative must be submitted.A s stated under the “Checklist” tab The Agreement between the bidder and the local representative (Where applicable)Furthermore, please review the required documents listed under the “Checklist” tab in the e-sourcing portal and ensure that all mandatory documents are included with your submission.2-Please submit a spare parts price list based on the rates at the time of installation and commissioning. These prices must be guaranteed for 10 years of availability, with annual price increases strictly capped at 5%.3- Bidders must adhere to the Incoterms rules, which define the respective responsibilities for the buyer and seller. For each proposed Incoterm, the bidder must clearly specify the applicable final destination. For DAP (Delivered at Place), the destination must be designated exactly as stipulated in the tender documents:DAP Jordan – Princess Muna Al-Hussein Maternity Hospital at The King Hussein Medical Center (RMS).4.1- The approximate dimensions can be measured from the 1:50 scale drawings provided in the tender documents. However, any necessary files or additional documentation will be provided to the successful bidder to assist with the preparation of final shop drawings.4.2- Wall-mounted isolators will be provided. The successful supplier is responsible for supplying and connecting the final cable extension from the isolators to the sterilizer machines.4.3- Wall-mounted isolators are provided for safe disconnect near the equipment with the circuit breakers protecting these lines.4.4- Based on the provided drawings, there is no central steam supply line available at the equipment location. The site design relies on the sterilizer's built-in steam generator, and provisions for the necessary RO water supply have been made.5-The tender specifications mandate a DI water preheat tank (booster tank) but do not strictly specify whether it must be built-in or external. Either configuration is acceptable, provided that the proposed equipment, including any external tanks, fits completely within the allocated space.

New clarification added: Bidder's Questions:With reference to the technical specifications outlined in the tender, we would like to respectfully submit the following amendment requests and clarifications:1- Steam Sterilizer – Spec #7.a (Chamber, jacket & generator should be equipped with overpressure safety valves ):Please amend to become ; Chamber, jacket OR generator should be equipped with overpressure safety valves.According to the manufacturer’s design, both the jacket and the generator are built with the same power rating, design standards, and pressure testing criteria. Since the jacket operates at a lower pressure than the generator, the presence of an overpressure safety valve on the generator is sufficient to ensure that the pressure in both the generator and the jacket remains within safe operating limits. In addition, the system is equipped with other safety mechanisms, including temperature and pressure sensors, to further ensure safe and reliable operation. 2- Plasma Sterilizer – Spec #3.a (Rigid lumens: Ability to process single channel stainless steel lumens of internal diameter at least 0.8 mm or larger and length of 500 mm or longer. ):Our system supports rigid lumen dimensions starting from 1 mm and above, which remains within a clinically acceptable and widely adopted range.Would you please amend it to be at least 1 mm? 3- Ultrasonic Cleaner – Spec #4 (Automatic chemical dosing system ):Our model includes a manual dosing system. This approach offers flexibility, ease of maintenance, and reduces potential technical failures associated with automated systems.Would you please amend it to be an automatic or manual chemical dosing system? 4- Sealer – Spec #2 (Outer casing made of high quality stainless steel type 304 or better. ) Would you please amend it to become; Outer casing made of high quality painted steel or stainless steel type 304 or better. As the material of the outer casing is not part of the sealing process and the painted steel provides the required functions. We kindly request further clarification on these specifications to ensure full alignment and compliance.TermsWith reference to the experience requirements outlined in point # 2 and 3 from Qualification Criteria, we would appreciate your kind clarification on the following points:1-Regarding supply through third-party agents:In case the bidder has successfully supplied and installed all the required equipment within a single project, while one of the items was sourced through a local authorized agent (not directly represented by the bidder), and the bidder remains responsible for installation and after-sales service, would this be considered compliant with the stated experience requirement?2-Regarding model equivalency:Is it mandatory for the previously supplied equipment models to be identical to the ones currently offered in this tender, or would technically equivalent models with similar performance and specifications from the same manufacturer be considered acceptable?3-Regarding combined project experience:In case the bidder has completed multiple projects within the past five years, where collectively all required equipment items have been supplied and installed (though not necessarily within a single project), would such combined experience be considered acceptable in meeting the requirement?Last thing, please consider that all DOCs in the submission field set as mandatory while some on them is optional, please make the needed changes .UNOPS Answer:1- As you indicated that both the jacket and the generator are built with the same power rating and are both equipped with the same overpressure safety valves, your system already complies with the current specifications by default. Please comply with the original technical specification as originally stated.2- Please comply with the required technical specifications as originally stated.3- Please comply with the required technical specifications as originally stated.4- High-quality stainless steel type 304 or better is strictly required to ensure durability and maintain hygiene standards. Please comply with the original specifications.Clarifications on Qualification Criteria (Terms)1- Yes, this scenario is considered compliant with the stated experience requirements, provided that the bidder remains fully responsible for the installation and after-sales service of the sourced item.2- Yes, it is acceptable. The previously supplied equipment does not need to be the exact same model; experience with technically equivalent equipment or the same equipment in a different configuration from the same manufacturer is sufficient.3-Yes, combined experience across multiple projects will be considered acceptable to meet the requirement. It is not mandatory to have supplied all the required equipment within a single project.Regarding the document submission fields on the portal, please note that the required submittal documents will be requested by UNOPS for review and approval prior to delivery. Please comply with the requested submittals as outlined in the tender documents.Regards

New clarification added: Bidder's Question: Regarding Item 4 (Dryer Machine / Storage), please note that if the machine includes a special hanging rack for drying anesthesia tubing, the capacity of the unit will be limited to 5 DIN trays, rather than 10 DIN trays as indicated for standard configurations with most suppliers.Accordingly, kindly revise this specification to reflect a capacity of 5 DIN trays instead of 10 DIN trays.UNOPS Answer:The specification remains at 10 DIN baskets, but simultaneous drying of 10 trays and anesthesia tubing is not required. The equipment must be supplied with the special hanging rack, alongside multiple adjustable/removable shelves (as per Item 3). This will allow the end-user to configure the internal space as needed (e.g., configuring for 10 DIN trays, OR configuring for anesthesia tubing plus a reduced number of trays).Regards
