Provision of Waste and Wastewater Management Services

The United Nations Support Office in Haiti (UNSOH) has a requirement for qualified Contractors to provide end-to-end Solid and Hazardous Waste Management Services in six (06) locations in Port Au Prince, Haiti. These locations include LSA-1, LSA-2, LSA-3, Alpha Camp, Airport Plaza Camp and CAMP VERTIERS All associated works shall be delivered on an as and when required basis, through a Task Order process. The works will be undertaken at the request of Mission Representatives and Project Managers. The works include the execution of Non-hazardous solid and hazardous waste management activities. The Contractor shall provide the required services in accordance with international waste management, engineering and environmental standards, common engineering practices and to the satisfaction of UNSOH. Specifically, the services shall be delivered in accordance with: • Applicable national legislation, regulations and municipal by laws relating to waste management, and occupational health and safety. • The UN Secretariat Environmental Policy (2019) and the DOS Environmental Policy for Peace Operations (DOS/2022.01) • The DOS Environment Strategy for Peace Operations (2017–2023) • The UN Waste Management Handbook for Peace Operations and Special Political Missions (2022) • And any mission specific SOPs or specific technical guidance derived therefrom
