End-Term External Evaluation of the IOC DG ECHO CoastWAVE 2.0 Project
The Tsunami Resilience Section of IOC is commissioning an external evaluation of the CoastWAVE 2.0 project. The evaluation aims to assess the implementation of the CoastWAVE 2.0 project during the two years of project duration. It will assess what has been achieved so far, and how results are being measured and generate suggestions on how to strengthen the Tsunami Ready Recognition Programme (TRRP) and Tsunami Early Warning Systems (TEWS) implementation in the Northeastern Atlantic and Mediterranean Sea (NEAM) region. It also will provide recommendations that will be useful in the context of future similar projects. The evaluation will contribute to the objective of the Tsunami Resilience Section to increase the focus on supporting Member States in improving their TEWS, building of community coastal resilience through the TRRP in NEAM region, by setting thematic priorities and adopting innovative approaches considering regional challenges.
