Description

The assignment entails supporting the implementation of UNICEF’s environmental health and lead exposure prevention programmes by providing laboratory testing services for biological, environmental, and consumer product samples collected through surveys, investigations, and monitoring activities across multiple countries.
Selected laboratory service providers will be responsible for receiving, processing, analyzing, and reporting results for samples submitted by UNICEF and its implementing partners. Analytical services will focus primarily on the detection and quantification of lead (Pb), with the potential inclusion of additional toxic elements and selected micronutrients where required. Laboratories must be capable of analyzing a range of matrices, including whole blood, urine, drinking water, food products, dust wipes, and environmental or consumer product samples such as cosmetics, powders, paint, cookware, and toys. Appropriate sample preparation procedures (e.g., digestion, extraction, or homogenization) must be applied where necessary.
