Description
Climate change is pressuring people, jobs, and businesses in Jordan. Labour-intensive sectors, particularly food manufacturing and garments, are increasingly exposed to climate-related pressures, rising energy and material costs, and sustainability requirements. Improving resource efficiency and strengthening waste management practices at enterprise level are practical entry points to enhance competitiveness while supporting just transition outcomes..
Under the just transition initiatives, the International Labour Organization (ILO) seeks to facilitate the development of a structured partnership on resource efficiency and/or waste management between a selected manufacturing enterprise and an existing service provider in Jordan. The objective is to support the.
establishment of at least one operational collaboration model between a manufacturing enterprise and a licensed resource efficiency or waste management service provider.
The purpose of this assignment is to provide targeted technical support to assess feasibility, structure the partnership arrangement, and support its formalization and initial operationalization. The assignment is practical and facilitative in nature and does not involve infrastructure financing or large-scale sector reform.
