Description
The objective of this assignment is to develop a concise and practice-oriented guidance document on fair recruitment provisions in BLMAs, based on international labour standards and existing ILO guidance and good practice on fair recruitment, and aimed at supporting ILO constituents and partners involved in the negotiation, revision and implementation of BLMAs. The work will involve a desk review, targeted interviews and a validation consultation workshop to discuss the draft guidance document, as well as the development of a PPT for training purposes. In addition, the assignment will include the design and delivery of a regional capacity-building workshop for ECOWAS Member States on fair recruitment and BLMAs, and the preparation of a workshop report capturing key findings and recommendations. Building on these outcomes, the consultant will also develop a regional fair recruitment workplan for ECOWAS to support the integration of ILO fair recruitment principles into regional and national labour migration governance frameworks, with particular attention to BLMAs.
