New clarification added: Clarification No. 2 – RFQ/2026/61685-Perkins Generator Spare PartsQuestion 2:With reference to RFQ/2026/61685 for spare parts of Perkins generators (250 KVA, 350 KVA, 500 KVA and 650 KVA), we have contacted authorized Perkins distributors and suppliers in China to obtain quotations.The suppliers informed us that to provide correct and genuine Perkins spare parts, it is necessary to specify the exact Perkins spare part number for each item. Even when the generator capacity and engine model are known, some components (such as filters, belts, alternators and related accessories) may have different variants, and suppliers require the official Perkins part numbers to ensure compatibility.However, in the spare parts lists provided for 250 KVA, 350 KVA, 500 KVA and 650 KVA generators, several items do not include Perkins part numbers, particularly for items such as:Fuel water separator filters (some entries)Engine belts / fine beltsDC alternatorsAlternator beltsSince the part numbers are not specified for these items, the suppliers are unable to confirm the exact parts or provide accurate quotations.Therefore, we kindly request the purchaser to confirm or provide the exact Perkins spare part numbers for all items where the part numbers are not indicated in the spare parts lists for the above generator capacities.Providing this information will allow us to obtain accurate quotations from authorized Perkins suppliers and ensure that the supplied parts are fully compatible with the respective Perkins engines.UNOPS answer:Regarding the request for Perkins part numbers, please note that these parts may vary by authorized dealer, as each manufacturer assigns their own numbers to parts produced according to original Perkins standards. The engine model and type provided in the RFQ are sufficient for authorized dealers to identify the correct and compatible spare parts. Therefore, suppliers may quote for parts from any dealer, provided that the spare parts adhere to original Perkins company standards.
