New clarification added: Queston 1: We would like to kindly request clarification regarding the following specification for the HDPE Pipe Butt Fusion Welding Machine:“Heater & Pressure System: PTFE-coated removable heater plate, Min. heat plate temperature 280°C; hydraulic pressure with calibrated gauge.”Based on standard industry practice and manufacturer design, the specified minimum heater plate temperature of 280°C appears to be higher than typically required. These machines are generally used for welding PE (HDPE) and PP materials, which have lower melting points:HDPE welding is commonly performed at approximately 200–220°CPP welding may require slightly higher temperatures, but typically does not exceed 270°CAccordingly, most manufacturers design their heating elements with a maximum operating temperature of 270°C, as higher temperatures are not necessary for effective welding and may affect equipment design and safety. In light of the above, we kindly ask you to confirm whether:A heater plate with a maximum temperature of 270°C would be considered acceptable for this tender, provided all other technical and performance requirements are fully met.Answer 1: Please adhere to the specified requirement of a minimum heater plate temperature of 280°C.

New clarification added: Dear Bidder Please find below answer to clarifications :Q1 - Regarding the butt welding machine and with reference to your request specifying the following welding capability:Butt fusion for PE, PP, and PVDF pipes; manual or semi-automatic; pipe sizes 15–110 mm OD with 3–4 self-centering clamps. Please be informed that there are no butt fusion welding machines available starting from 15 mm. Standard butt fusion welding machines are typically manufactured in the following ranges:40 – 160 mm63 – 200 mm90 – 315 mmetc. Therefore, sizes such as 15 mm, 20 mm, 25 mm, and 32 mm are not welded using butt fusion machines. These smaller sizes are usually welded using electrofusion welding, which is a different method and requires electrofusion fittings.Accordingly, kindly recheck and confirm the pipe sizes you intend to weld, so that we can recommend the most suitable welding equipment.Ans 1 - Please refer to Item #2-1 – HDPE Pipe Butt Fusion Welding Machine (Welding Capability) under the Technical Specifications, which requires butt fusion for PE, PP, and PVDF pipes within the range of 15–110 mm OD with 3–4 self-centering clamps.Q2 - With reference to the tender regarding the supply of HDPE Pipe Butt Fusion Welding Machines, we kindly request clarification regarding the welding capacity specified in the technical requirements. The document states that the machine should cover a pipe size range of 15–110 mm (OD). However, based on standard industry practice, butt fusion welding machines typically start from 20 mm or 32 mm, while pipes of 15 mm diameter are usually welded using socket fusion machines rather than butt fusion machines. Therefore, we would appreciate your clarification on the following point: Is the required welding range intended to be 20–110 mm for Butt Fusion Welding Machines, or Should the supply include Socket Fusion equipment to cover the 15 mm pipe size?Ans 2 - Please refer to Item #2-1 – HDPE Pipe Butt Fusion Welding Machine (Welding Capability) under the Technical Specifications, which requires butt fusion for PE, PP, and PVDF pipes within the range of 15–110 mm OD with 3–4 self-centering clamps.
