New amendment added #1: The purpose of this amendment is:Extend the tender deadline for clarifications. Extend the tender deadline.Therefore, please note the following changes:The Esourcing General Tab: Deadline for clarifications to read as 17 March 2026. Tender submission deadline to read as 1 April 2026. All other terms and conditions remain the same.

New clarification added: Dear Bidder Please find below clarifications answers:Q1 - We would like to kindly inquire whether it would be acceptable to submit EN 124-2:2015 test reports for manholes based on models that have already been manufactured and tested by the manufacturer, for your reference and to demonstrate that the manufacturer possesses valid EN test reports.P lease note that the model we intend to offer will be customized to meet the tender requirements; therefore, it does not currently have a specific test report. If we are awarded the tender, the manufacturer will conduct the required tests and provide the EN 124-2:2015 test report specifically for the customized manhole model submitted in our offer. We would highly appreciate your guidance on whether this would be acceptable for the tender submission.Ans 1 -The test report is not required at the stage of submitting the offer.  However, bidders must provide proof that the manufacturer holds a valid certificate demonstrating the capacity to produce goods according to BS EN 124-2:2015 standards or equivalent at the time of submission. If awarded the contract, the bidder is then strictly required to submit the full test report or certificate in reference to EN 124-2 standard or equivalent at the delivery stage.

New clarification added: Dear Bidder Please find below clarifications answers:Q1 - Regarding below point in specs:Heavy-duty locking device; operable with special keys; supply 3 key sets (Locking mechanism data sheet provided) , Do you mean covers should be with three locking points or cover should be supplied with three sets of key ???Ans 1 - The requirement means the manhole cover shall be equipped with a heavy-duty locking device as standard, operable with special keys, and the supply shall include three (3) key sets for all covers. Q2 - Under item#11:  you mentioned that : "Heavy-duty locking device; operable with special keys; supply 3 key sets (Locking mechanism datasheet provided)".  How many locable points should be available on the Cover ? Please provide us with more details related this matter.Ans 2 - The RFQ does not specify a required number of locking points. Bidders may offer their standard locking arrangement,provided it complies the requirements. 

New clarification added: Dear Bidder Please find below clarifications answers:Q1 We have been requested by the manufacturers to provide the drawings of the manholes in order to prepare and submit a more accurate and competitive offer. Therefore, we kindly ask you to provide us with the drawings for the manholes at your earliest convenience.Ans 1 - Please refer to items# 4,5,6,7,10,12,13,14 of the requirements. The RFQ  specifies the minimum technical requirements, including D400 load class, dimensions, materials, and compliance with BS EN 124-2:2015 or equivalent. Bidders shall propose compliant products and submit manufacturer technical drawings of the offered cover and frame assembly (including hinge, locking system, dimensions, and coating) to demonstrate compliance.Q 2 - We kindly request an extension of the submission deadline, as it coincides with the upcoming Eid Al-Fitr holiday. Since the submission date falls very close to the holiday period, additional time would allow us to properly prepare and provide the required technical specifications in full compliance with your requirements.We would greatly appreciate your consideration of this request and hope you can grant a  extension to ensure the quality and completeness of our submission.Thank you for your understanding and support.Ans 2 - No extension as of today any extension if needed will be sent through an amednement in esourcing platrourm. Q3 -Regarding to the EN-124-2, you said it is mandatory or equivalent. Companies with this certification or equivalent quote high prices, is it acceptable to only have test report according to EN 124.2. Because there is a big difference in prices between companies who only have test reports and companies who are EN 124-2 certified, because bidders who are going to quote from companies that don't have EN 124-2 certification and have only test reports will have advantage in their prices.Ans 3 - Please refer to the item#4 of the requirements. The offered manhole covers must comply with BS EN 124-2:2015 Class D400 or an equivalent recognized standard, supported by valid certification. Q4 - Kindly provide us with the drawing for the manhole cover, as some manufacturers require it in order to prepare and proceed with the technical specifications in accordance with your requirements.Ans 4 - Please refer to items# 4,5,6,7,10,12,13,14 of the requirements. New clarification added: Q1.  Please clarify: the file containing the specifications, quantities, and price quotations is missing.A1. Please note the documents "Section II Schedule of requirements" contain a. the summary of requirments, b. Technical specifications for goods , c. Delivery requirements. The document contain specifications and all other requirements of the tender. Kindly review the scedule of requirements documents and use the document "Section III-Returnable Bidding Forms" to submit your quotation together with all supporting documents. Bidders are required to submit quotation according to the tender instructions in the esourcing portal and attached documents.
