New clarification added: Dear Potential BiddersPlease take note of teh following clarifications:Clarification 9- Battery capacity clarificationIn the BoQ, the battery specification indicates a capacity corresponding to approximately 5 hours of pump runtime, calculated based on a 5.5 kW pump (≈27.5 kWh).However, the pump specification provided indicates a rated power of 7.5 kW. Considering a 5-hour runtime requirement, this would correspond to a battery capacity of approximately 37.5 kWh per system.Additionally, the BoQ specifies 4 battery units per system.Could you please clarify:The total battery capacity required per systemAnswer 9- Consider using a battery that can run a pump of rated power of 7.5kw for 5 hoursClarification 12- In a previous clarification, the system size of 29.7 kWp was mentioned. Could you please confirm whether the BoQ pricing should be based on this clarified system size.We appreciate your guidance on the above points.Answer 12- Yes, the BoQ pricing should be based on that clarificationClarification 13- Submission of the BoQ price sheetSection 4.1 (Schedule of Prices) indicates that bidders should provide the priced BoQ. However, within the returnable schedules, the corresponding section appears as a text field, and there is no dedicated location on the submission portal to upload the BoQ Excel file.Could you please confirm:Where the completed BoQ spreadsheet should be uploaded, orWhether it should be attached under another document category.Answer 13- Please upload the BoQ in the with the Bid Submission Declaration in the "Bid Submission Declaration" provided slot.Kind regards

New clarification added: Dear Potential BiddersPlease take note of teh following clarifications:Clarification 2- 1. Question 1: PV Module Wattage - The BoQ (Item 1) specifies modules of not less than 800 Wp, while the Technical Specifications (Section 1) specify modules of not less than 550 Wp. Please confirm the required individual module wattage for this installation.Answer 2- The required individual module wattage for this installation is not less than 550 Wp, as per the Technical Specifications (Section 1). The BoQ (Item 1) contains an error and must be corrected to align with the technical requirement.Clarification 3- 2. Question 2: Total System Capacity - The BoQ (Item 1) specifies a total PV wattage of 16,000 Wp, but the Technical Specifications (Section 5.1) describe a system totaling 29,700 Wp (18S3P x 550W). Please confirm the total required PV array capacity for this project.Answer 3- The required total PV array capacity for this project is 29,700 Wp. This is based on the configuration specified in the Technical Specifications (Section 5.1), which describes an array of 18S3P (18 modules in series, 3 strings in parallel) using 550W modules. The calculation is as follows: 18 modules per string x 3 strings = 54 modules total. 54 modules x 550 Wp = 29,700 Wp. The figure of 16,000 Wp listed in the BoQ (Item 1) is a mistake and must be corrected to align with the technical requirements.Clarification 4- 3. Question 3: Pump Rated Power - The Technical Specifications (Section 9.4) call for a 5.5 kW pump, whereas the BoQ (Item 6) lists a pump with a rated power of 0.55 kW for the same 90m head requirement. Please confirm the correct rated power (P2) for the submersible pump.Answer 4- The Pump rated power is 7.5 kw. The documents are to be amended.Clarification 5- 4. Question 4: Pump Motor Technology - The Technical Specifications specify a 5.5 kW AC motor in Section 9.4 but describe a 600W DC motor in Section 9.7. Please clarify if the intended system uses a 3-phase AC submersible pump.Answer 5- Based on industry standards for solar pumping applications and the system parameters defined elsewhere in the tender, the intended system should utilize a 3-phase AC submersible pump.Clarification 6- 5. Question 5: Technical Conflict and System Efficiency – AC Pump vs. Battery Architecture - The Technical Specifications contain a fundamental conflict between the 600W DC pump (Section 9.7) and the 5.5 kW AC pump (Section 9.4). A 5.5 kW AC motor requires a high-voltage 3-phase drive, which is technically incompatible with a 48V battery due to extreme current discharge (>130A), massive voltage drops, and inefficient double-conversion losses through a boost converter. As this configuration is not supported by standard manufacturer wiring diagrams and leads to premature battery failure, please confirm if you accept an industry-standard, high-efficiency battery-less Pump Inverter (with MPPT and VFD features). We request that the battery requirement be disregarded for this 5.5 kW system to ensure reliability and optimize the project budget.Answer 6- To avoid the efficiency losses and current issues, the battery bank must operate at the inverter's nominal DC input voltage (typically 380-480V), not 48V. And offcourse the request to disregard the battery is preferable but the project requires irrigation during non solar time, therefore it is better to make it open for the supplier to supply the battery which best compatible with the inverterClarification 7- 6. Question 6: Component Voltage Ratings - The Technical Specifications (Section 5.1) describe an array configuration with a Voc of ~1033V, but the BoQ specifies an inverter (Item 5) and DC disconnects (Section 6.1) rated for only 600V. Please confirm if the array design should be adjusted.Answer 7- The array configuration is right and the supplier as mentioned in the BoQ shall supply an inverter which support both the array and the pumpClarification 8- 7. Question 7: MPPT Output Rating - BoQ Item 4 specifies an MPPT with an output current of 30A. For a 16,000 Wp array charging a 48V battery, the current exceeds 300A. Please confirm the required quantity of MPPT units or the correct amperage rating per unit.Answer 8- The MPPT shall be compatible with the system array and battery.Clarification 10- Given the technical complexity and the various significant discrepancies observed between the Bill of Quantities (BoQ) and the Technical Specifications—specifically regarding the fundamental conflict between the pump architectures, as well as contradictions in PV array sizing and battery capacities, we formally request a two-week extension to the current deadline. This additional time is essential to resolve these engineering inconsistencies and ensure we can provide a comprehensive, optimized, and technically sound proposal that aligns with industry standards while avoiding the safety risks and efficiency losses inherent in the current conflicting specifications.Answer 10- The request was accepted and tender extended by one week previously.Clarification 11- Upon reviewing Annex 2C – Bill of Quantities, we note that the quantities specified (e.g., 20 PV modules totaling 16 kWp, 1 inverter, 1 pump, associated civil and mechanical works) appear to correspond to a single solar-powered irrigation system4. BoQ_SolarIrrigation_However, the RFQ indicates that:Lot 1 consists of 9 systems, andLot 2 consists of 11 systems.Kindly confirm whether:The provided BoQ represents the scope and quantities for one single irrigation system; andFor pricing purposes, bidders should multiply this BoQ by 9 systems for Lot 1 and 11 systems for Lot 2 respectively (with identical specifications per site).Your clarification will help ensure accurate and compliant financial submission.Answer 11- Kindly note that the provided BoQ represents the scope and quantities for one single irrigation system; so you can multiply this BoQ by 9 systems for Lot 1 and 11 systems for Lot 2 respectively (with identical specifications per site).Kind regards
