Description
Dear Bidder,
The International Labour Office (ILO) is looking for an individual to undertake work as an External Collaborator. Below is a summary of the work to be performed: The consultant will be responsible for drafting standards-based criteria on forced labour in the extraction of critical minerals, grounded in ILO international labour standards and related supervisory guidance. This includes reviewing relevant ILO conventions, protocols, recommendations and authoritative guidance on forced labour; developing a clear and structured set of criteria applicable exclusively to the extraction phase of critical minerals; and ensuring that the criteria distinguish appropriately between the roles and responsibilities of governments and businesses. The consultant will ensure that the criteria are practical, coherent and usable as a normative reference to inform policy frameworks and due diligence systems, while not constituting a compliance, audit or certification tool. All outputs will be developed in close consultation with the ILO and revised based on feedback. Please submit your proposal before the specified deadline.
Thank you.
