Description
United Nations Procurement Division is seeking suitably qualified companies for the provision of comprehensive Project Management Consultancy Services for capital projects and a portfolio of on-going initiatives across across the United Nations-owned and leased premises located in Midtown Manhattan, New York City, New York, USA.
The Project Management Consultant will directly report to the Chief of the Planning Design and Construction Section, whithin the Department of Operational Support. The scope of services will range from strategic planning through to construction close-out, depending on what services are needed.
The Portfolio of Projects will vary in size and complexity, from approximately 500 square feet to 30,000 square feet and will range from office space reconfigurations and infrastructure upgrades to mechanical upgrades critical to the operations of UNHQ.
It is anticipated that an appointment will be made to a signle company, which is expected to closely collaborate with other consultants and vendors currently holding contracts with the UN.
General Requirements:
Vendors will be expected to demonstrate:
a. Minimum of five (5) years experience in providing project management consultancy services, preferably on an on-call basis.
b. experience of similar appointments for projects with scope relevant to the envisaged UN projects (to include reference name/point of contact). In particular UN will seek experience of appointments related to:
i. design and construction (ground up) and renovations
ii. MEP in high-rise environements
iii. 'high security' and 'restricted access' environments iv. government or public sector entities v. innovative and environment-conscious materials and measures
c. Local presence or representation (upon appointment) to enable prompt response to urgent project requirements.
d. Attendance at a pre-tender conference and site tour.
Vendor submissions in respect of these General Requirements will be requested and assessed at a later (RFP) stage.

2. Vendor Response Forms must be completed in full. The UN reserves the right to reject Expressions of Interest documents that are incomplete, or are received after the stated deadline.
3. To be eligible for RFP award consideration, bidders must be registered at the United Nations Global Marketplace (UNGM). Vendors are encouraged to commence the registration process as early as possible via www.ungm.org
4. The UN reserves the right to issue the final solicitation documents only to those prospective Vendors that respond to the EOI, and are deemed qualified upon completion of an objective evaluation of their submission.
