Provision of Automotive Workshop Equipment and Hand Tools (AWEHT), in support of UN Secretariat entities worldwide

1. The UN Procurement Division is seeking expressions of interest from qualified vendors for Provision of Automotive Workshop Equipment and Hand Tools (AWEHT), in support of UN Secretariat entities worldwide for the contract period of three (3) years, with possibility to extend for two (2) terms of one year each at the UN's option (3+1+1). 2. The UN Secretariat operates vehicle workshops in many field locations throughout the world ( Africa, Europe, Central America, the Middle East, etc.) in support of a fleet exceeding 15,000 vehicles of various types, and requires appropriate automotive workshop equipment and mechanics' hand tools to facilitate timely repairs and servicing of UN vehicles and equipment of varying manufacture and country of origin. The equipment and tools, therefore, need to perform at medium to heavy duty workload. 3. The requirement covers a wide variety of automotive workshop equipment (hydraulic press, air chisel, air conditioning charging station, etc) and wide assortment of hand tools, including hardware items. Detailed information about the requirements together with the estimated quantities will be provided in the solicitation document to the companies responded this REOI. Vendors are encouraged to carefully review the following mandatory criteria that is requested in the RFP and assessing capacity in meeting the criteria before responding to this REOI: A Bid Bond in amount of USD 10,000 will be required at the time of RFP submission. A minimum of five (5) years of experience in supplying required Automotive Workshop Equipment and Hand Tools (AWEHT). Logistics capacity and after-sales support to support UN operations globally. Proposers may bid on the entire range of required AWEHT, or any portion thereof, according to their product range. The UN may at is own discretion chose to split the awards of contract to ensure optimum contract coverage. While companies may participate in this solicitation after completion of Basic Level registration with UNGM, we strongly recommend to submit the level 2 registration requirements under the United Nations Secretariat prior to participating in this solicitation.
