New clarification added: Dear Bidders,Please take note of the following questions and responses from UNOPS:Question (1):Are international companies eligible to participate and submit bids for this project?Response (1):Yes, the tender is open to national and international companies.Question (2):Is the item stackable or not?Response (2):No, the goods are not stackable but can be palletised.Question (3):Are logistics companies allowed to submit bids for this project, or is bidding restricted only to transportation companies?Response (3):Yes, there are no restrictions on specific categories of bidders in this tender; however, bidders are advised to review the experience and other requirements listed under the ‘Criteria’ tab in eSourcing, as these will be used as the basis for evaluation in this tender.Question (4):We are inquiring about the exact weight of each pump, kindly provide this information at your earliest possible convenience so we can initiate preparation and submission of our bid.Response (4):The weight of each pump is indicated in Section II: Schedule of Requirements, as well as in the Returnable Form B: Price Schedule Form.Question (5):Will supplier handle loading cargo on trucks at their premises? Is cargo stackable?Response (5):No, the supplier will not be responsible for loading the cargo onto the trucks. The freight forwarder (the successful bidder) will load the goods from the supplier’s premises. No, the goods are not stackable but can be palletised.Question (6):Will supplier do sufficient packaging of cargo to ensure safety of goods while in transit? If not, please ask supplier to provide details of packaging they'll use, and what we need to do to ensure safe transportation (maybe pallets with shrink wraps).Response (6):Yes, the supplier will be responsible for properly packaging the cargo for shipment; however, the safety of the goods during transit is the responsibility of the freight forwarder (the successful bidder). Question (7):We have received the RFQ and appreciate the opportunity to provide our support. However, I would like to inform you that the Spring Festival holidays are currently ongoing in China, and most of carriers/truckers will be unavailable until February 24th.Given this situation, would it be possible to extend the proposal submission deadline to February 27th? This extension would allow us to ensure that we can deliver the best possible proposal for UNOPS.Response (7):In light of this request, the tender has been extended until 28 Feb 2026.Question (8):Kindly share the catalogue or pictures of the items that need to be shipped from China to Kabul, Afghanistan.Response (8):The goods are currently under production, and images are not yet available for sharing. However, the model, weight, size, and dimensions are specified in Section II: Schedule of Requirements; please refer to this section for further details.Question (9):We respectfully note that the current submission deadline coincides with the Chinese Spring Festival holiday period (15 February to 23 February 2026). During this time, most factories, warehouses, freight forwarders, and customs brokers in China are officially closed or operating with very limited capacity.As this requirement involves coordination with multiple factories in Zhejiang Province, including confirmation of cargo readiness, loading schedules, documentation, export clearance arrangements, and road transport planning, the ongoing holiday period significantly affects our ability to obtain confirmed freight rates, loading windows, and transit commitments within the current timeframe.In order to submit a technically sound, realistic, and fully supported transportation proposal, we kindly request that the submission deadline be extended until at least 28 February 2026.
