Description
The external collaborator will provide legal and technical expertise to support the drafting and compilation of a consolidated Balochistan Labour Code. The assignment includes reviewing and mapping existing provincial labour laws, rules, and regulations; identifying gaps, inconsistencies, and non-compliance with international labour standards; and drafting harmonized legal provisions aligned with Fundamental Principles and Rights at Work and labour-related commitments under the National Action Plan on Business and Human Rights. The consultant will integrate Business and Human Rights principles into the Labour Code, provide technical inputs to stakeholder consultations led by the Department of Labour through an implementing partner, and revise and finalize the draft based on consultation outcomes and project feedback. The work will be carried out in close coordination with the ILO Business and Human Rights Project, the Department of Labour, Government of Balochistan, the Ministry of Human Rights, and UNDP.
