Description
1. The UNMHA/OSESGY is seeking highly qualified and experienced service providers who possess all the necessary materials, tools, equipment, personal protective equipment (PPE), consumables, and labour to carry out the destruction of armored vehicles in various locations within Yemen. The proposed contract is for the initial period of three (3) years with the option to extend the contract for two (1+1) additional years for a total of five (3+1+1) years, subject to extension of the Mission mandate, availability of funds and satisfactory performance of the Contractor. 2. The armored vehicle holdings by UNMHA/OSESGY, intended to counter ballistic and explosive threats in their operational environment, are designated for destruction and are in various areas of Yemen, including Hudaydah, Sana’a, Aden, Mokha, and Kwakwah. They could be sport utility vehicles (SUVs), buses, or ambulance vehicles armored to a minimum B6/VR7 protection level, according to Central European Norm (CEN) Standards or an equivalent protection level, or the Department of Safety and Security (DSS)-mandated level. 3. UNMHA/OSESGY will communicate its requests for services to the awarded Contractor via email. The Contractor will be requested to reply in writing within two working days, providing a pro Forma invoice that states the requested service. The awarded contractor will perform the primary demolition and waste disposal tasks at their facility. UNMHA/OSESGY shall not be responsible for the cost or logistics of transporting the vehicles or parts to the contractor's facility, unless explicitly stated in the Task Order. The UNMHA/OSESGY technical team will perform the final acceptance inspection at the vendor’s site. 4. This EOI does not constitute a solicitation. OSESGY/UNMHA reserves the right to change or cancel the requirement at any time during the EOI and/or solicitation process. Thus, submitting a reply to an EOI does not automaticall guarantee that such compay will be considered for receipt of the solicitation when issued . INTERESTED VENDORS SHOULD NOTE THAT THE MINIMUM LEVEL FOR REGISTRATION FOR THIS TENDER IN UNGM (www.ungm.org) IS BASIC LEVEL, COMPANIES WHICH ARE NOT ACTIVELY REGISTERED IN UNGM MAY NOT BE CONSIDERED FOR THE UPCOMING TENDER. Specific Requirements/Information MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: Participating vendors will be required to submit upon receipt of solicitation documents the following minimum requirements and other documents which will be elaborated in the solicitation documents: i. A copy of their certificate or a letter from the Government of Yemen confirming that they are authorized to perform metal works, engineering, refurbishment of armored vehicles, or destruction of armored vehicles, or a related field in Yemen. ii.Provide the number of years of operation/experience (minimum of 3 years), a copy of the business registration certificate, and relevant experience in the refurbishment and destruction of armored vehicles. iii. Confirmation of the requirements and capability to provide qualified technicians to perform the destruction service as described in the SOR. iv. Three reference letters from clients who have received satisfactory armored vehicle destruction services
