Construction of 10 Pre-fabricated Buildings in 5 Municipalities in Jajarkot and West Rukum districts in Nepal.

United Nations Office at Nairobi (UNON) on behalf of the United Nations Human Settlements Programme (UN-Habitat) Nepal, seeks the interest of qualified vendors and Service Providers to participate in an upcoming tender solicitation for the Construction of 10 Pre-fabricated Buildings in 5 Municipalities of Jajarkot and West Rukum districts (Bheri Municipality, Nalgad Municipality, Barekot Rural Municipality, Aathbiskot Municipality, Sanibheri Rural Municipality), Nepal. UNON invites companies to express their interest for pre-qualification, by filling out the vendor response form AND Submitting the relevant pre-qualification documents as per the evaluation criteria attached to this REOI via the email; may.mutua@un.org cc unon-rfx-procurement@un.org no later than 11 August 2025. The EOI submission should state the EOI reference number and title in the subject header. The objective of this project is to strengthen local and district level governance in earthquake-affected areas to ensure continuity of basic service delivery, support long-term reconstruction, and enhance disaster preparedness service. The scope of works shall include but not limited to: -Health, Safety and Site preparation: Includes fixing hoarding board of approximately 3'x4' size, Dismantling and site clearance of existing structures and debris removal if needed, Supply and use of Plastic cover sheets to continue working during rain season. -Foundation works: Includes excavation of foundation, dressing, sidewall protection, Back Filling, Compacting under floors, Supplying and installing a 500-micron tear-proof high-quality polythene above the compacted stone soling, Laying uncoursed hand packed dry rubble stone in foundation, etc. -Super structure works: Includes fabrication and erection of structural steel for columns, trusses, purlins, rafter with wilding and nut bolt etc. including primer, Supply and Installing single mesh UPVC roofing inclusive of all essential accessories, Providing and installing wall partitions, Providing and installing false ceiling boards, etc. -Architectural works: Includes supplying and applying a primer coat, Providing and Fixing Windows, Providing and Fixing door frames etc. . -Electrical installations: Includes wiring of light points, installation of switches etc. -Sanitation and Plumbing work: Includes applying two coat plastic-coated waterproofing membrane in bathroom area, Installation of ceramic tile, cold water supply pipe line, soil & waste water pipe line, wash basin set, over head water storage tank tet of approx. 1000 litres capacity, etc. -Logistics and transportation: Provision for transportation, loading and un-loading of non-local materials (materials not available in Jajarkot and West Rukum) from large cities to Nalgadh, Jajarkot and transportation to the Aathbiskot Municiplaity and Barekot Rural Municipality etc. Important* Please note that this REOI is not an invitation for submission of tenders. Its sole purpose is to pre-qualify vendors who would be shortlisted to participate in the subsequent upcoming tenders. The pre-qualification criteria is attached to this REOI. Submitting a reply to this REOI does not therefore automatically guarantee that your company will be considered for issuance of the solicitation documents. Only vendors who in the UN's sole discretion, are deemed eligible and qualified, upon completion of an objective evaluation of the EOI submissions may receive the final tender solicitation documents. UNON reserves the right to change or cancel the requirement of this EOI at any time during the EOI and/or solicitation process. Other Information: The applicant shall note that the United Nations reserves the right to assess and verify all information provided by the applicant for the above criteria. All documents submitted by applicants for this REOI must be written in English. All applications, including the required documents, shall be submitted within the timeline stipulated in this REOI. Applications submitted after the REOI closing date will only be accepted at the discretion of UNON. Each applicant who meets the three (3) minimum requirements will be deemed to have the technical capacity and professional experience to carry out the works. Applicants who do not satisfy the three (3) pre-qualification criteria will be regarded as non-conforming and will not be invited to participate in the ensuing competitive bidding process. Applicants should note that UNON, at its sole discretion, reserves the right to request additional information or documentation if required. No payment will be made by UNON to applicants or any other entity for any costs, expenses, losses, or damages incurred or suffered by the applicant or any other entity arising out of, or in connection with, the preparation of the application.
