Local requirement for the provision of Body Armour Tactical Plate Carrier Vest / Requerimiento local para la provisión de Chaleco Táctico Portador de Placas Balísticas

The United Nations Verification Mission in Colombia (UNVMC) has a requirement for the provision of body-armour Tactical Plate Carrier Vest (ballistic vests and hard-plates) to serve as personal protective equipment for staff members and meet operational requirements in Colombia. The contract for one-time provision shall include the following requirements: * Body armour/ Tactical Plate Carrier Vest (modular, lightweight, and highly adjustable armour carrier designed to accommodate hard ballistic plates in the front and rear compartments); the design must support both male and female users through ergonomic adjustability, with varying sizes S-XL. * Hard-ballistic plates (protection level NIJ-III) comparable, interchangeable, and used in with the body armour vests (single curve hard ballistic plates); Standalone protective inserts intended for use with the tactical plate carrier vests. * Hard-ballistic plates Level III+ (Exceeds NIJ Level III commonly referred to as Level III+); Simple (Single) Curve; Standalone protective inserts (no soft armor backing required) intended for use with the tactical plate carrier vests. * Modular attachable accessories/components for scaled protection with Pullover Ballistic Vests use; The detailed Scope of Requirements (SOR) along with other bidding documents will be sent out to all bidders responding to this Request for Expression of Interest (REOI). Companies that wish to participate in the upcoming tender are requested to submit their Expression of Interest (EOI) as per below instructions, and to duly register in the United Nations Global Marketplace (www.ungm.org). Vendors are advised that this EOI does not constitute a solicitation. The UN reserves the right to change or cancel this requirement at any time during the EOI and/or solicitation process. La Misión de Verificación de las Naciones Unidas en Colombia (UNVMC) tiene un requerimiento para el suministro Chaleco Táctico Portador de Placas Balísticas (chalecos balísticos y placas rígidas) que sirvan como equipo de protección personal para los miembros del personal y cumplan con los requisitos operacionales en Colombia. El contrato para el suministro único deberá incluir los siguientes requisitos: * Chaleco portaplacas táctico / chaleco antibalas (modular, liviano y altamente ajustable, diseñado para alojar placas balísticas rígidas en los compartimentos frontal y posterior); el diseño debe ser ergonómicamente ajustable para adaptarse tanto a usuarios masculinos como femeninos, con tallas que varían de S a XL. * Placas balísticas rígidas (nivel de protección NIJ-III), comparables, intercambiables y compatibles con los chalecos antibalas (placas balísticas rígidas de curvatura simple); insertos de protección independientes diseñados para su uso con los chalecos portaplacas tácticos. * Placas balísticas rígidas Nivel III+ (superan el Nivel III del NIJ, comúnmente conocidas como Nivel III+); curvatura simple; insertos de protección independientes (no requieren respaldo de armadura blanda) diseñados para su uso con los chalecos portaplacas tácticos. * Accesorios/componentes modulares acoplables para protección escalable con el uso de chalecos balísticos tipo pullover. El Alcance Detallado de los Requisitos (SOR), junto con otros documentos de licitación, será enviado a todos los licitantes que respondan a esta Solicitud de Expresión de Interés (REOI). Las empresas que deseen participar en la próxima licitación deben presentar su Expresión de Interés (EOI) según las instrucciones a continuación, y registrarse debidamente en el Mercado Global de las Naciones Unidas (www.ungm.org). Se informa a los proveedores que esta EOI no constituye una solicitud formal de propuestas. Las Naciones Unidas se reservan el derecho de modificar o cancelar este requerimiento en cualquier momento durante el proceso de EOI y/o licitación. Specific Requirements/Information 1) It is mandatory that the body armour is certified in accordance with the National Institute of Justice (NIJ)- 0101.06 standard, or equivalent protection level by recognized standards. 2) The qualified bidder must be must be either manufacturer or an authorized distributor/dealer the offered product. 3) The manufacturer must have a minimum of five (5) years of experience in the design and manufacturing of body armour. 4) If the bidder is not the manufacturer, in addition, it must have at least five (5) years of experience in distributing Safety and Security equipment. 5) The manufacturer must operate within a quality management system certified as compliant with ISO-9001. 6) The products have a minimum factory warranty of five (5) years. 1) Es obligatorio que el chaleco antibalas esté certificado conforme a la norma NIJ-0101.06 del Instituto Nacional de Justicia (NIJ), o con un nivel de protección equivalente según normas reconocidas. 2) El licitante calificado debe ser fabricante o distribuidor/dealer autorizado del producto ofrecido. 3) El fabricante debe tener un mínimo de cinco (5) años de experiencia en el diseño y fabricación de chalecos antibalas. 4) Si el licitante no es el fabricante, además, debe contar con al menos cinco (5) años de experiencia en la distribución de equipos de Seguridad y Protección. 5) El fabricante debe operar bajo un sistema de gestión de calidad certificado conforme a la norma ISO-9001. 6) Los productos deben contar con una garantía de fábrica mínima de cinco (5) años.
