New clarification added: Dear Sir/Ma,Please note that we have contacted NAFDAC and they said isolation gown, biohazard bag and TCBS Agar do not require NAFDAC registration but SONCAP for isolation gown and biohazard bag then import permit for TCBS Agar only after we have received the order.Kindly advice what we can do in this case since you have requested for NAFDAC certificate.Best regardsAnswer:In accordance with gazetted regulations (NAFDAC Medical Devices and Related Products Regulations, 2024), these items are classified under medical devices and as such under the regulation of NAFDAC. We understand a Market Authorization from NAFDAC may not be available (if product is not fully registered or frequently imported), in which case, a permit/Import Approval from NAFDAC will be sufficient for the certificate.

New clarification added: We intend apply for NAFDAC OR SONCAP certificates Before the items get to the port of entry. is it cceptable?OR Is CE and ISO certificate Enough?Answer: Unfortunately, this is not acceptable. New clarification added: Dear Sir/Ma,The NAFDAC Valid registration you requested does not apply in this case, i think it should be Standard Organization Of Nigeria(/SON) Becuase NAFDAC is for Foods and Drugs. We have ISO and CE , should we submit bid based on the certificate we have?Answer: The NAFDAC regulates PPE, Medical devices and other regulated products aside from food and drugs, hence there will still need to be a NAFDAC certificate submitted. The SONCAP certification will be added to the list of required documents for Lot 3 - Isolation Disposable Gowns and Lot 5 - Biohazard Medical Disposal Bag. An amendment will be made to the tender requirements to reflect this.
