Diesel generators
New clarification added: Question 1: I would like to request clarification regarding the specifications for the capacity of the three generators, which are stated as follows:Net rated Prime Power (kVA) at on-site conditions:80 (±2%) kVA100 (±2%) kVA120 (±2%) kVAI would like to confirm whether the values within the parentheses (±2%) are considered as an allowable reserve. For example, if the generator's capacity under site conditions equals exactly 80 kVA, is that acceptable? Does this mean that it does not necessarily need to be 81.6 kVA?Best regards,Answer 2: The (±2%) in the generator's Net rated Prime Power on site conditions (e.g., 80 (±2%) kVA) represents an allowable tolerance margin. This means, the accepted actual measured power on site conditions shall be within the specified range (e.g., 78.4 kVA to 81.6 kVA for an 80 kVA unit).

New clarification added: Questio Dear Sirs,Question1: Can the offer be made in EUR?Answer 1: As per tender's particulars, No nationalities are excluded from submitting a bid. Bidders have to submit their quotation according to the tender requirementsQuestion 2: Are the requested prime power ratings (80kVA, 100kVA, and 120kVA) based on ISO standard conditions (25°C, sea level), or do you require these power outputs at your site conditions (40°C, 1925 meters above sea level)?Generator Options and Deratings:ModelPrime Power @ ISO (25°C, sea level)Derating at Site Conditions (40°C, 1925m)Approximate Prime Power @ Site Conditions 80 kVA~19% reduction~65 kVA100kVA~19% reduction~80 kVA135 kVA~11% reduction~120 kVAWe consider the Perkins engine suitable for your location. However, note that it jumps from 100kVA to 135kVA prime power at ISO conditions. Recommendations:your requested power ratings already include derating for site conditions, we recommend:For 80 kVA: 1 x nominal 100 kVA For 100 kVA and 120 kVA: 2 units nominal 135 kVAAnswer 2: enerators prime power ratings must represent or exceed the actual output at the specified site conditions (e.g., high temperature and altitude), with bidders accounting for appropriate derating. Question 3: We would be quoting the generators with Leroy Somer TAL model alternator, please can you advise if this would be accepted in terms of efficiency? In the documents is stated that the efficiency must be 95% or more, however, it is difficult to find an alternator with this efficiency. Please find efficiencies table for the alternator we intend to supply for you to advise if this is acceptable. Please look at TAL044B, TAL044D, TAL044H tables Tables reflect the graph.MODEL: TAL 044 BThe chart shows the efficiency values up to a load of 100 kVA.(kVA) P.F. = 0.8 P.F. = 1~15 89.1% -~20 87.6% -~30 - 92.9%~35 90.7% -50 - 93.6%~55 90.7% -~65 - 93.5%75 90.0% 93.3%~85 89.5% -MODEL: TAL 044 D The chart shows the efficiency values up to a load of 120 kVA.
