United Nations Office at Nairobi (UNON) on behalf of the United Nations Human Settlements Programme (UN-Habitat) Somalia, seeks the interest of qualified vendors and Service Providers to participate in an upcoming tender solicitation for the Construction of approx 30 Housing Units in Bosasso, Puntland, Somalia. The project aims to construct climate-adjusted housing units that cater to families with members with disabilities and to large families in the Gribble IDP Relocation Site, in Bossaso, Puntland. The scope of works shall include but not limited to: i) Construction of approx 30 permanent low-cost housing units, with each unit consisting of two rooms, a covered (shaded) verandah, a latrine/shower, a water tank, tree planting, and occupies approx 39 square meters. The Civil works include: • Site Clearance. • Foundation Works. • Floor Construction. • Wall Construction. • Roof Construction. • Plastering. • Doors & Windows. ii ) Some of the housing units will include disability-inclusion elements, such as ramps, handrails and a disability-inclusive latrine/bathroom. iii) Sanitary/Plumbing works: • Sanitary Installation and Plumbing. • Neighbourhood block drainage for the 30 housing units. Please note that this request for EOI is not an invitation for submission of tenders. The complete detail of the requirement will be issued to bidders after this request for EOI is closed. UNON reserves the right to change or cancel the requirement of this EOI at any time during the EOI and/or solicitation process. Submitting a reply to this REOI does not therefore automatically guarantee that your company will be considered for issuance of the solicitation documents. Only vendors who, in the UN's sole discretion, are deemed eligible and qualified, upon completion of an objective evaluation of the EOI submissions, may receive the final tender solicitation documents.
