The United Nations Economic Commission for Africa (UNECA) is seeking a consulting firm capable of carrying out engineering, architecture, planning, environment, project management, accessibility, safety and security-related services in the compound.. Professional Services require expertise and experience to support and implement multi-year, multi-million-dollar projects, strategies, and programs which include but are not limited to Capital Improvement Plan (CIP), alteration and improvement projects, Major maintenance and Upgrades to the facility and its infrastructure, Security and Conference management initiatives. The firm is expected to provide support for a campus plan including but not limited to conceiving, planning and programming, provide support in areas related to architectural, civil, electromechanical engineering, security, cost consultancy, quantity surveying, space planning, schematic and detailed design, construction document preparation, preparation of tender dossier, construction administration, construction supervision and close-out. The Consulting firm's responsibility encompasses a further development of the campus , signage/wayfinding, and coordination of exterior art, as well as historic preservation efforts. The firm should also assist with ECA’s Environmental Sustainability and Disability Inclusion Strategies related initiatives and actions The Consulting firm is responsible for the development and interpretation of design standards for building exteriors, interiors, supporting infrastructure, public spaces, and grounds and for all projects. The goal is to ensure that renovations and new developments adhere to the campus master plan, and design standards, and enhance the physical environment of the UNECA premises Companies expressing interest should note that this Request for Expression of Interest (REOI) serves as pre-qualification of the companies that will be invited to participate in the tender process .Intrested firms will be invited to the tender by "Request for Proposal (RFP)" at later stage and the detail requirement will be further specfied in the RFP document. UNECA reserves the right to change or cancel the requirements at any time during the EOI/ or solicitation process. Thus, submitting a reply to this EOI does not automatically guarantee that your company will be considered for receipt of the solicitation when issued. The RFP and any subsequent commitment to contract will be issued in accordance with UN rules and regulations. UNECA is precluded from entering into contract with a vendor that is not registered with United Nations Global Market Place(UNGM). Thus, only those vendors who are registered or provisionaly registered or have started their registration process in UNGM will be eligible to receive the solicitation document RFP. Those interested in responding to this EOI must currently registered at basic or level 1 in UNGM, for the purpose of this bidding exercise, MUST successfully apply for Level 2 Registration in UNGM before submitting their Expression of interest. In order to be eligible for UN Registration, please make sure to declare in writing the Prerequisite for Eligibility criteria itemized from A-F as contained in EOI instruction attached.
