New clarification added: Question:Mechanical division:Rehabilitation of trench drain : It is required only cleaning and minor maintenance, or it is should replace frame and covers.Electrical division: Some of CCTV cables might exceed 90 meters in length, please advise.UNOPS Answer:- As per mechanical b.o.q item 2.6, the rehabilitation of the trench drain includes only cleaning and minor maintenance, and connection to piping system (if exists). - The maximum allowed run for the Cat6A is 100 meters. Also note that location of CCTV camera and industrial switch for fiber optic shall adjusted according to actual site condition and as per specialist recommendation.Regards,

New clarification added: Question:Regarding the new BOQ sent from your side, we need more time for pricing, especially for items in Mechanical and Electrical divisions (Fire Pumping System, Generators etc...) in addition to the civil and architectural works modified in the BOQ. So we are requesting an extension of time for the deadline of the bid.UNOPS Answer:Please note that the deadline of the bid was already extended till Monday 27 May 2024. However, the ITB amendment including the fire fighting system was issued 14 May,so bidders have approximately 2 weeks to price the subject items.Regards,

Thank youUNOPS Answer:Please note that the new pathway level is higher than the existing fence level. The drawings (Cafeteria GF Plan - A102b (hatched in Gray), Cafeteria Section BB - A-301a , Cafeteria wall section 02-03 - A-400) show the location of the pathway and the new fence height. New clarification added: Question:Following our site visit today and our inspection of the Old Metal Slides mentioned in item 9.9.2, we found that they are beyond repair due to extensive damage and concrete stains. Therefore, may we exclude this item from our scope of work?UNOPS Answer:The old metal slides referenced in item 9.9.2 cannot be removed, as they are deemed an artistic installation integral to the garden's original design vision, hence its rehabilitation is very minor restricted to keeping the slides as monuments and not for use.

New clarification added: Question: please provide us more details regarding the exterior library: Type H-LBUNOPS reply: please refer to the image in this link, provided in the Tender package as an example of the exterior library. The material should be hard wood with its necessary fixations. Once the ground works on site have been mostly completed by the Contractor, the Engineer will select the adequate tree in Zone A , and prepare the detailed drawing with the exact measurements for implementation.

New clarification added: Question:After reviewing the BOQ and specifications we couldn’t find the dimension of the ceramic, please advise.UNOPS reply:For dimension guidelines: General areas should have a minimum dimension of 60 cm x 60 cm, while wet areas should be sized at either 30 cm x 30 cm or 30 cm x 60 cm. The final dimensions for ceramic installations will be determined conclusively during the contractor's material submittal and shop drawings, subject to engineers' approval.

New clarification added: Question:After reviewing the drawings and the Bill of Quantities (BOQ), discrepancies in quantities were identified between the schedules and the BOQ. For instance, certain curtain walls and windows listed in the aluminum schedule on drawing A-710 were not accounted for in the BOQ.UNOPS reply:In general, in the case of discrepancies, the more stringent requirement applies, however the quantities are to be remeasured. Regarding this specific discrepancy, this was rectified in the ITB amendment that will be posted shortly, and the BOQ aligns with the aluminum schedule.

New clarification added: Question:Reference to the experience required, it is mentioned that the contractor must have "Works contracts entailing construction/rehabilitation of multipurpose and recreational facilities and cafeterias including the procurement and installation of all kitchen equipment with a cumulative area of at least 1000 m2", and reference to the BOQ, there are no kitchen equipment items to be supplied and installed. We have only kitchen cabinets to be supplied and installed. Kindly clarify. UNOPS reply:The kitchen equipment and items will be procured by the operating entity, the contractor is responsible of the scope of work entailed in the tender package. This will be modified in an ITB amendment shortly

New clarification added: Question:Reference to the fire protection requested items, according to BOQ the request is based on European standard and according to specifications the request is based on UL American standard .
