Pre-Qualification of Clearing and Forwarding Service Providers for the United Nations World Food Programme in Termez.
BACKGROUND
The United Nations World Food Programme, hereinafter referred to as the "WFP," has its headquarters located at Via C.G. Viola, 68/70, 00148 Rome, Italy is the leading humanitarian organization, saving and transforming lives by delivering food assistance in emergencies and collaborating with communities to enhance nutrition and build resilience. WFP assists nearly 100 million people across approximately 83 countries each year, with a commitment to making a positive impact. The WFP Afghanistan Office aims to establish and update a pool of pre-qualified suppliers (2024 shortlist) capable of providing Clearing and Forwarding services Ex: Termez, Uzbekistan to Afghanistan. WFP invites eligible companies to express their interest in delivering the requested logistics services outlined in this Expression of Interest (EOI).
If you wish to be considered for the provision of the above service, kindly submit the following documentation by 23:00 hours Kabul time, on Saturday, 20 January 2024. Please send your submissions through kabul.logistics@wfp.org.
- Submit a letter demonstrating interest in providing clearing and forwarding services.
- Completion of WFP questionnaires essential for the pertinent shortlist. Please contact the WFP contracting team at [kabul.logistics@wfp.org].
- Provide documented proof of existence for the last three years, including the certificate of incorporation/registration, and a copy of the VAT certificate if applicable.
- Furnish documented proof of the right to operate in Afghanistan, including registration with relevant regulatory authorities (e.g., business license, tax certification, tax clearance certificate).
- Demonstrate financial capability based on audited accounts from the last three years.
- Include an original endorsement letter from the principal financial banker of the interested agent/company, outlining the financial status and credibility. If the letter is issued by an individual (guarantor) related to the interested agent/company, clearly state the guarantor’s exact position in the company and/or other links with the company.
- Provide a complete list of parent companies, subsidiaries, sister companies, joint ventures, and business alliances, as well as other companies directly or indirectly controlled or under common control with another potential eligible contractor.
- Disclose thoroughly the shareholder and senior management structures of all shareholders.
- Include proof of past performance through copies of at least three recent recommendation letters from current or recent clients for services similar to those described in this expression of interest.
- Present a company profile illustrating the structure and history of the company, as well as its presence and experience.
- Provide an exhaustive list of current areas where your company maintains a presence.
