6. 1. On page 7 of the RFQ, you mention - 'Compliance to relevant International Organization for Standardization.: ISO 27001, ISO 27018' as a minimum feature. Are we to understand that you would like the software developed in such a way that it enables you as the owner of the software to be compliant with ISO 27001 or ISO 27018? OR - Do you require the development firm to have an ISO 27001 or ISO 27018 certificate?
Answer: Regarding the ISO compliance mentioned on page 7 of the RFQ, the intention is not to mandate that the development firm have an ISO 27001 or ISO 27018 certificate. Rather, we want the software to be developed in a manner that enables UNFPA, as the owner of the software, to align with ISO 27001 or ISO 27018 compliance standards if we choose to pursue them in the future. Your clarity on this matter is appreciated
7. On page 7 of the RFQ under clause 8, you mention - 'Submitted relevant certifications in security practices (e.g., CSSLP, CEH)' -- Would it be okay if we have a CERT-IN certified security audit firm review our software and practices as part of our deliverables? This way we will provide you an independent third-party security report as part of our deliverables.
Answer; In terms of the relevant security certifications, while we recognize the value of certifications like CSSLP and CEH, your proposal of having a CERT-IN certified security audit firm review the software and practices, providing us with an independent third-party security report, aligns well with our requirements. We believe that this approach underscores a commitment to security and is consistent with our intent. Regarding the security certifications mentioned, our primary aim is to ensure the proficiency and expertise of the team working on the project.
8. Can we quote the price in USD as well, or does it have to be in NGN?
Answer ; You are welcome to quote the price in USD. Given the international nature of our operations, we are accustomed to handling transactions in multiple currencies, and USD is certainly acceptable.
9. Are we eligible to bid for this project if we are based in India and will work remotely from our office in New Delhi during the entire term of engagement. Do you envision travel to Nigeria to be a requirement for the project? If yes, may we add travel expenses as part of our financial proposal?
10. As we are based in Cambodia, I would like to know if the opportunity is open to international bidders, and if we are expected to deliver on-site services in Nigeria.
Answer; Yes, the opportunity is open to international bidders like yourselves. While we value on-site interactions, given the evolving nature of global work environments, especially in the context of technology solutions, much of the collaboration can be managed remotely.
However, there is one essential caveat: The winner of the bid will need access to the MCN standalone server to interface with our existing databases, provide training and hands on sessions. The aim here is to seamlessly integrate the new platform you'll be developing with our existing data infrastructure and ensure the users understand the system
We believe in leveraging global talent and expertise to deliver the best possible solutions. Your location in Cambodia should not be a hindrance, provided there's a commitment to maintaining clear and timely communication throughout the project.
