A “Scientific demersal trawl survey” at sea in Montenegrin waters and an “Intercalibration survey” at sea between vessels in Montenegrin waters

The Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO) has launched a new Invitation to Bid (ITB) for the provision of “A “Scientific demersal trawl survey” at sea in Montenegrin waters and an “Intercalibration survey” at sea between vessels in Montenegrin waters ”. The overall purpose of the activity is to contribute to the execution of scientific demersal trawl survey at sea, in order: to contribute to the characterization of demersal fisheries resources in Montenegrin waters in term of population distribution, abundance as well as demographic structures; to provide data for modelling the population dynamic of the main demersal commercial species; to monitor interactions between fisheries and the marine environment and ecosystems. It is also expected that the collection and analysis of survey data would allow for the formulation of scientifically based advice for improved conservation of the stocks. Companies' registration on the United Nations Global Marketplace portal (UNGM) is a mandatory requirement to participate in this tender as the procurement process is carried out exclusively on the UNGM portal.
