Description

Since the start of the military conflict in Ukraine on 24 February 2022, Romania has seen a massive influx of refugees coming both directly and through neighbouring countries. The main entry points to Romania are via two operational border points (Siret and Sighet) along the northern border of Romania with Ukraine, as well as through a checkpoint on Romania’s south-eastern border segment close to the Black Sea (Isaccea), where access to territory is only possible by ferry.
