Support to National Capacity building to Realize Girls’ Right to Education in Pakistan (Districts Astore and Ghanche in Gilgit-Baltistan)
The objective of this Call for Partnership is to identify a not for profit or civil society organization, as UNESCO’s Implementing Partner (IP) with expertise and technical skills to undertake the activities related to community mobilization, advocacy, teachers’ training on pedagogical contents and provision of missing school facilities in 42 government primary schools in District Astore in Gilgit Baltistan, and 51 Government primary schools in District Ghanche in Gilgit Baltistan.
Objectives:
- Increase girls’ enrolment in the primary schools in marginalized communities of District Astore in Gilgit Baltistan through mobilization of local communities.
- Improve retention and quality of girls’ primary education in the marginalized communities through improvement in school physical and learning environment.
The partner will be responsible to enrol 400-500 out-of-school girls’ in the project schools in District Astore, Gilgit Baltistan; to enrol 600 out of school girls’ in the project schools in District Ghanche, Gilgit Baltistan.
Both international and local partners are eligible, however preference will be given to partners with geographical presence in target areas. Separate proposals per district are required.
The tender contains sustainability considerations addressing gender equality and women's empowerment.

Gender mainstreaming, targeted employment of women, promotion of women-owned businesses.
