The United Nations Office for Project Services (hereinafter referred to as UNOPS) is pleased to invite competent Bidders/Contractors to submit their respective competitive bids for the Construction of Remaining Work for WASH Facilities in Gurage & Silty Zones; in SNNPR; Ethiopia in accordance with the UNOPS General Conditions of Contract.

New clarification added: Dear Bidder;Greetings from UNOPS Ethiopia! We hereby extend our gratefulness for your interest on the captioned RFQ and request for clarification. Kindly refer the clarifications for your requests as follows: Request:1. The cost of solar pump includes all solar system and solar panel or only solar pump?Clarification: The cost is for full package pump including the solar panels. Request:2. The place of solar pump does not clearly stated on the drawing . If the solar pump is with in the fence, the fence may shade the power of sun.Clarification: The fence is short with only 1.0m high. The solar panels will be exposed to the sun.With Best Regards,

New clarification added: Dear Bidder;Greetings from UNOPS Ethiopia! We hereby extend our gratefulness for your interest on the captioned RFQ and request for clarification. Kindly refer the clarifications for your requests as follows: Request:1, Gidena Aborat, Agena,Adelle Sodo, Matede H.C. and Tora P.H. - As stated on the description of BoQ Item 1.1 raised ground support (plate form) is completed. But for the fance work of HCB wall to be constructed around the water tanker, is the foundation work completed too or will it be constructed?Clarification: The fence work is a protection for the water reservoir. It shall be constructed on the platform. Hence no separate foundation work.Request:2, Yegeaze H.C - On Item 1.1 the description says construct 1.5m elevated support for water tankers but on the detail drawing the height is not indicated. And shall fence work and pump house will be constructed . It is not indicated in the description.Clarification: The 1.5m support will be made of 4.0m x 5.0m stone masonry support with a 100mm thick concrete platform. No fence and pump required.With Best Regards,

Kindly refer the clarifications for your requests as follows: Request:1, Please note that DC surface pump is not available in the market now.Clarification: We have found that it is available in some shops. Please assess the market exhaustively. Request:2, Implementing in solar a small AC surface pump will demand a very high cost comparing to the out put (discharge) we can get it is not fair.Thank youClarification: Encouraging green technology such as Solar remains one of the missions of UNOPS. Hence please follow up the specifications.With Best Regards,
