PRE-BID NOTICE OF INVITATION TO BID FOR THE SUPPLY OF MEDICAL FURNITURE TO UNFPA AND UNICEF

The United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA) and the United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF) would like to call attention about the upcoming Medical Furniture tender, which is tentatively planned to be launched in week 42 of year 2021. Once the tender is launched, it will remain open for at least 4 weeks.

The scope of the bidding exercise is:

• To cover the category of Medical Furniture; details on exact furniture, specifications and requirements will be provided at the time of bid issuance. 

• To establish multiyear non-exclusive Long Term Agreements (LTAs) with the successful suppliers, to serve the needs of UNFPA’s and UNICEF’s programmes and partners.

UNFPA/UNICEF are part of the United Nations Global Marketplace (UNGM) accessible at https://www.ungm.org/. The UNGM is the procurement portal of the United Nations system; and UNFPA will post the Bid notice, clarifications, amendments and results in the UNGM.

We recommend the potential bidders to:

• Review the following links on how to  become a UN supplier:

o the UNGM’s help centre for potential suppliers (https://help.ungm.org/hc/en-us/categories/360002380499-For-potential-suppliers).

• Start as soon as possible the preparation of the documents to be submitted. Bidders must be able to demonstrate offered products’ quality and efficacy as per international standards and provide evidence or proof of compliance to the declared specifications.

All bidders are requested to register in UNGM by creating a vendor profile; UNGM registration is a requirement for any eventual award.
